SERCO Prize 2012 Competition ~Secret London~

Illustration I made for  the Serco Prize Competition 2012,
The theme was "Secret London" and the request was for a colourful artwork,
inspiring and that celebrate a vibrant, multi-layered London.

London is full of hidden places that are there waiting to be discovered
by who can really pay attention and be patient to appreciate.
Perhaps only children, with their young and sharp eyes, eyes that are trained
of imaging pirates, cowboys and flying dogs, eyes full of curiosity and
imagination, can still see the hidden sparkling places that are around us.

  1. Hi Francesco - this illustration is really brilliant, as most of your work is! You have the ability to bring out so much emotion in your characters and their context, and deliver your technique so proficiently at the same time. I feel a lot of illustrators don't have that skill these days. I really enjoy all of it and I hope you will post more often.

    All the best,
